Custom Crib and Toddler Bed Bedding Sets
Every mother has a vision of how she wants her new baby's room to look. The problem is trying to FIND that certain bedding set...the one your heart is set on. Maybe it's inspired by a theme, or a set of colors. Maybe a favorite vintage cartoon character. Tell me about your dream and I will make it a reality.
What's included?
What's included is up to you. Typically, crib sets will include a dust ruffle, sheet, small blanket and bumpers. A toddler bed set would typically have a sheet set and a large blanket. My recommendation is to order a set for the crib that can be transitioned to toddler bed when the time comes. This would include a dust ruffle, two sheet sets, bumpers and large blanket. Additional sheet sets are a good idea, and curtains or valances can be made to match as well.
How much will it cost? The price of a custom set varies depending on the material cost and time involved. Once we have a plan in place, I can give you an estimate based on the price of the materials and the approximate amount of time it will take me to create it. You can expect to pay over $100 in labor cost alone for a crib set, and at least $50 on a toddler set.
What's the difference between a small and large blanket?A small blanket is just large enough to cover 2/3 of the inside of the crib. This is typically the size you'll find in any store-bought crib set. A large blanket is large enough to cover the entire crib mattress top, plus the sides of the mattress. Think of it like your bed comforter.
Why do you recommend a mixed set?My recommendation is to purchase the dust ruffle, bumpers, two sheet sets and large blanket. This way, when your child is ready to transition to their toddler bed, you will not have to quit using the set you've purchased. Some toddler beds will allow you to use the dust ruffle. The sheet sets provide you with a top sheet and pillow case instead of just the fitted crib sheet. The larger blanket provides full coverage over the mattress for your growing child. The material and labor cost is not much more to create these items, and it makes your investment last so much longer!
